Makita launches new TM001G XGT Multi-Tool

Makita has added the new TM001G XGT Multi-Tool to its high-performance 40VMax XGT product line. This new cordless multi-tool is lightweight and compact but promises to pack a punch with performance.

Workers can set the blade of this multi-tool at any angle and utilize the quick release to swap between accessories to maintain an efficient workflow. This tool is compatible with Starlock Max accessories, the tight-lock system that’s tool-free for blade changes and removal.

Makita’s new multi-tool has a brushless motor, delivering increased sanding and cutting efficiency. At 332 mm in height and 2.1 kg in weight, it is easy to handle and compatible with Makita’s XGT battery platform.

“We are thrilled to introduce the TM001G into Makita’s powerful XGT range,” says Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita. “The tool has been engineered to fulfill the wide range of professional users’ needs to provide maximum power, speed, and run-time without being restricted by a cord.”

The TM001G XGT Multi-Tool was built with anti-vibration (AVT) technology to reduce user fatigue and increase productivity and efficiency. Other features include a soft-start function, an LED light with an afterglow setting to illuminate an area, and a constant and variable speed control. Its anti-restart function also helps users prevent accidental startups for enhanced safety.

Long-time Makita fans have been anticipating the release of a multi-tool in the XGT range for quite some time. A concrete release date has not been announced, but users should expect an update this fall.
