Hitachi Construction Machinery launches new brand, LANDCROS, at CONEXPO 2026

Hitachi Construction Machinery is preparing for a massive showcase at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas. This event gives contractors a first look at how the company is mixing 75 years of reliable engineering with new, high-tech digital tools. Visitors will find their massive 30,000-square-foot exhibit at Booth F19012 in the Festival Grounds, with a focus on the future of the job site.

The theme for Hitachi this year is about building on a strong foundation. For over seven decades, Hitachi has been known for building tough excavators and mining equipment. At CONEXPO 2026, they are demonstrating that they can be just as strong in the technology sector.

The centerpiece of the exhibit is the transition toward the new LANDCROS brand. While the brand name change officially takes effect in April 2027, this show signals Hitachi’s long-term vision for a “connected” jobsite. It represents a move from just selling iron machines to providing complete solutions that help construction and mining companies work smarter and safer.

Next-generation technology on display

Inside the booth, which features a two-story building and a dedicated “Relaxation Zen area,” the company will highlight several innovations. One major feature is Assist Pro, a specific AI tool that visitors can demo. This technology enables operators to work with exceptional accuracy, saving time and reducing waste on the job.

Hitachi is also showing off its latest semi-autonomous systems and autonomous mining solutions. These machines can perform repetitive tasks independently, helping address the shortage of skilled workers. To keep these machines running, the company has introduced LANDCROS Connect. This updated fleet management software allows owners to track fuel use, machine health, and location from a single dashboard.

Working with new partners

A dedicated part of Hitachi’s booth will feature over 20 machines and 15 different attachment types, along with collaborations with startup partners. Visitors can meet the winners of Hitachi’s recent innovation challenges: Sodex, Teleo, and Veristart. These partnerships are helping to create new sensors and software that can be integrated into existing Hitachi machines.

The booth is designed to be interactive. Contractors can see how these digital tools work in real-world scenarios through live demos. Whether it is a small excavator for a home project or a giant shovel for a mine, Hitachi is focusing on how data can improve every aspect of operations.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond

The shift to the LANDCROS brand promises to keep Hitachi relevant as the world moves toward electric and autonomous equipment. CONEXPO 2026 will prove that Hitachi is ready to lead the industry into a new era by keeping the reliability of the past while embracing the future.
