Written By Mariah Moore

Bobcat has announced its first backhoe for the North American market, the B760 Backhoe Loader. This new powerhouse boasts the highest dig depth for its class size (18ft 5in) and combines power, safety, comfort, and a lower cost of ownership.

The new B760 Backhoe Loader will be equipped with integrated controls and smart assistance so users can maneuver with the utmost ease and access the “Return-to-Dig” and “Float” features for more efficient digging.

The B760 weighs in at 19,224 pounds, has a lift capacity of 2,200 pounds at maximum reach, and the loader end can handle lifts up to 7,985 pounds. The new optional cab design ensures operators have full visibility on the job and has optional auto-shift and pilot controls to lessen strain and fatigue.

Bobcat Product Development Specialist Jamison Wood says, “The backhoe loader is designed for durability, easy operation, simple maintenance, and incredible performance. Its size keeps it accessible on sites with limited space, while its impressive travel speeds keep operators productive across large job sites.”

The backhoe has 94 horsepower and a top travel speed of 22.6 mph (40 km/h). Without a diesel particulate filter, the engine meets Tier 4 emissions standards.

With a 1.4-cubic-yard multipurpose bucket, the Bobcat B760 Backhoe Loader excels in snow removal, excavation, site preparation, trenching, and material handling. The machine is expected to arrive in dealerships in late 2024 to early 2025. Shoppers can request a quote online as early as today.
