Skanska awarded $435M Lee Health hospital project in Fort Myers, Florida

Skanska has been selected to construct a significant new hospital for Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida, with an estimated $435M price tag. This project represents a major expansion for Lee Health and aims to enhance healthcare access for the growing Southwest Florida region. 

Skanska’s task includes building the hospital’s core and creating a seamless environment that promotes healing, convenience, and safety for patients and staff alike. The construction will incorporate sustainable features designed with environmental sensitivity to reduce energy consumption and support a cleaner environment.

The new hospital will include multiple private rooms, cutting-edge operating suites, and a specialized diagnostic imaging center.
