DeWALT TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0: Stronger, smarter, and built for the job site

Written By Alex Klocek

When it comes to job site storage, durability, convenience, and capacity matter. DeWALT’s TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 builds on its predecessor with stronger latches, better stacking, and increased storage space, making it a solid upgrade for building professionals of all kinds.

Added features

DeWALT developed the TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 in response to feedback from contractors and job site professionals who rely on durable storage solutions daily. The new features address common challenges like insufficient storage, difficulty stacking and unstacking units, and limited mobility across rugged terrains. With these upgrades, DeWALT aims to simplify how tools are organized, transported, and protected, all while ensuring compatibility with previous systems.

  • Tougher and more protective: With an IP65 rating, TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 is built to resist water, dust, and job site debris, keeping tools safe in harsh environments.
  • Improved stacking and access: The auto-connect side latches allow for one-handed stacking and unstacking, saving time on the job and making tool organization more efficient.
  • Better mobility: The rolling toolbox features 8-inch wheels, making moving heavy tools and materials easier across rugged job sites.
  • Configurable storage capacity: When used as part of a tower configuration with specific units, the TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 can offer up to 20% more storage capacity than previous systems. This means professionals can customize their storage solutions to fit their exact needs.
  • Backwards compatibility: Already invested in TOUGHSYSTEM storage? The new models work with previous TOUGHSYSTEM versions, so you don’t need to start over when upgrading your setup.

With better durability, easier access, and expanded storage, TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 makes tool organization more efficient for pros who need reliability on the job. Whether working on-site or transporting tools between locations, this system keeps everything secure and easy to access.
