This ambitious build, part of a large-scale renovation to the Spectrum Center in Uptown Charlotte, aims to offer the team a purpose-built, innovative space supporting athletes and staff in achieving their best every season. This facility will be accessible to the team and the community, fostering a deeper connection with local fans.

The centerpiece of this collaboration is a 60,000-square-foot space designed to house training courts, recovery facilities, and administrative offices. Gilbane’s experience and expertise will ensure the facility meets the specific needs of professional athletes, including features like advanced training rooms, a full-service weight room, and specialized rehabilitation zones. 

From Perkins&Will’s initial architectural vision to Gilbane’s extensive construction knowledge, the project is well-positioned to deliver an impressive facility that balances functionality with aesthetic appeal. With additional community-oriented spaces, this new center is set to become a cornerstone in the region for sports and wellness, embodying the Charlotte Hornets’ commitment to excellence.
