HEVI unveils North America’s largest all-electric wheel loader

Written By Mariah Moore

HEVI has released the 48,281-pound H65L, North America’s largest all-electric wheel loader. This new loader is expected to enable users to operate on a single charge for up to nine hours, with reduced TCO costs, zero emissions, and less noise.

On the release, HEVI’s CEO Raymond Wang comments, saying, “This marks another major achievement for us as we introduce North America’s largest all-electric wheel loader. The purpose-designed H65L meets customer demands with extended runtime, faster charging, and cutting-edge display technology. Building on our legacy of zero-emission, all-electric industrial vehicles, the game-changing H65L delivers high performance while offering zero emissions, reduced operating and maintenance costs, lower noise levels, and enhanced operator comfort.”

To put the size into perspective, LiuGong’s 856H loader weighs in at 46,297 pounds, and Volvo CE’s new L120 electric loader is expected to max out at 47,399 pounds. HEVI’s H65L will support a load capacity of 14,330 pounds with a bucket capacity of 5.5 cubic yards. With a dumping height of 11’4”, this large loader has a breakout force of 47,210 pound-feet.

The battery charging time from empty to full is approximately 14 hours, and the improved climate-controlled cab boasts more comfort and fewer vibrations for operators. Noise pollution is an improvement over previous models, with noise levels in the cab at 75 decibels or less and the noise level while standing 15 feet away from the exterior of the loader at 67 decibels.

The on-board display screen details a real-time feed of the machine’s operational status, which includes pressure readings and battery life. In terms of other loader options through HEVI, they also offer the 11,464-pound GEL-1800 electric wheel loader, the 39,683-pound GEL-5000 electric wheel loader, and the 39,904-pound H55L electric wheel loader.
