Liebherr unveils the most powerful 6-axle mobile crane: the LTM 1400-6.1

Liebherr has once again pushed the boundaries of mobile crane technology by unveiling the 6-axle LTM 1400-6.1 mobile crane. With a 400-tonne maximum load capacity, a 70-meter telescopic boom, and the innovative Y-guying system, the LTM 1400-6.1 is being called the world’s most powerful six-axle crane. This model is the successor to the widely successful LTM 1350-6.1, offering increased power and flexibility while reducing setup time.

LTM 1400-6.1 versatile design for various applications

The LTM 1400-6.1 is a versatile crane ideal for various sectors, including construction, wind energy, infrastructure projects, and even the oil and gas industry. Its fixed and luffing lattice jibs extend the crane’s reach by up to 80.5 meters, making it perfect for tall structure installations or working in high-reach environments. The crane’s adaptable VarioBallast® system also enables it to operate in confined spaces, a crucial feature for jobs in urban settings or limited-access areas.

Efficient setup and power

This mobile crane stands out for its ease of setup. Its self-assembly Y-guying system is ready for use within minutes. Its powerful 619-horsepower 8-cylinder diesel engine guarantees that operators can manage both on-road transport and on-site lifting operations efficiently.

It also comes equipped with the VarioBase® supporting system, which enhances safety and lifting capacity, especially in tight spaces. A key feature of this system is the free extension option, previously only available on five-axle cranes. This option allows the sliding beams to be adjusted between 0% and 50%, providing added flexibility for complex lifting operations.

Enhanced safety

Liebherr has equipped the LTM 1400-6.1 with driver assistance systems such as the Blind Spot Information System, which improves on-road safety by alerting operators to nearby pedestrians and cyclists. These safety features make the crane compliant with stringent EU safety regulations and enhance overall operational security. The crane also includes RemoteDrive technology, allowing operators to wirelessly control key functions, further streamlining complex tasks on the job site.

LTM 1400-6.1 environmentally friendlier design

In line with Liebherr’s commitment to sustainability, the LTM 1400-6.1 features an advanced single-engine concept that reduces emissions and fuel consumption, offering contractors a more environmentally friendly solution. This makes it an attractive option for projects with strict emissions standards.

With its power, precision, and versatility, the LTM 1400-6.1 sets a new standard in mobile crane technology, making it an attractive tool for contractors across various industries.
