The MākuSafe safety device that could save a worker’s life

MākuSafe is innovating technology in the construction industry with wearables that improve worker safety, health, and productivity. The software mitigates workplace hazards and exposure to risks thanks to real-time environmental, health, and safety data with predictive value right on their person.

Because users get live data and actionable recommendations on the spot, workers’ comp claims are reduced by 50%, and incident severity is reduced by 90%, according to MākuSafe. This means less money spent on claims by construction companies and, more importantly, safer conditions for workers. 

How MakuSafe makes safety leaders efficient

Each wearable collects real-time data about workplace risks or hazards. From there, the MākuSmart cloud platform displays the analytics and uses machine learning and AI to recognize patterns and trends.

MākuSafe also streamlines near-miss reports by enabling push-to-talk self-reporting for workers, including observations. The push-to-talk feature’s environmental, health, and safety data is automatically gathered and uploaded to the cloud, all while staying secure and respecting employee privacy. Raising the frequency of near-miss reporting and observations contributes to a larger and stronger safety culture for all.
