MOCA Systems and Doxel partner to empower construction teams

AI construction progress tracking industry leader Doxel recently announced a partnership with MOCA Systems Inc. (MSI). MSI produces the leading production planning platform, Touchplan, which optimizes construction workflows by eliminating the gap between execution and planning. This partnership combines Doxel’s innovative progress-tracking technology with MSI’s production-planning features.

The partnership stems from rising construction costs and reduced schedules. Contractors and business owners are forced to lean into advanced software to facilitate on-budget and timely projection completion. But, a new industry pain comes from struggling to integrate diverse, individual technologies seamlessly into one unified project workflow.

“Customers using Doxel’s AI progress tracking and Touchplan’s planning platform gain a powerful advantage in Lean Construction. Touchplan’s planning capabilities, combined with Doxel’s visual tracking and predictive analytics, help teams proactively manage workflows and stay on track, reducing rework and costly errors,” said Brett Adamczyk, President, MSI Software. “For contractors and owners, the combined use of Touchplan and Doxel enhances transparency, project predictability, and the quality of the final deliverable.”

What construction professionals can expect from the software

Once combined, Doxel and MSI’s Touchplan will offer a comprehensive solution that helps construction teams achieve project completion with better efficiency, predictability, and profitability. Touchplan already enables simple sequencing for scheduling and task management, which boosts coordination and eliminates job site waste. Doxel, on the other hand, brings progress tracking and real-time status feedback to the partnership.

Key features of using both products together include:

  • Streamlined optimized critical path method (CPM): Touchplan supports synchronizing the production pull plan and the CPM-based master schedule to enable stakeholders to evaluate risk, identify inefficiencies, and optimize schedules for more accurate, competitive project timelines.
  • Increased project predictability and efficiency: Merging real-time monitoring and project execution data into actionable tasks allows smoother workflows and a boosted Plan Percent Complete (PPC) rate. This increases predictability and accelerates project timelines.
  • Course corrections with timely alerts: Doxel’s live insights and Touchplan’s live workflow visualization provide early notifications to users when tasks veer off course from a schedule or project plan. Early warning means teams can course-correct sooner, which prevents delays and ensures teams can work efficiently.

“If teams use Touchplan alongside Doxel, it will provide excellent confirmation that what we have done is what we said we were going to do,” said Adam Nelson, Project Controls Manager at CRB. “It also allows us to look forward in the progress charts and ensure our forecasts for activities align.”
