New government-ready tools and AI features aim to simplify compliance, automate tasks, and give contractors deeper project insights.
Procore Technologies, the company behind cutting-edge construction management software, has rolled out major updates, including enhancements to Procore for Government and Procore AI, to help contractors achieve greater efficiency on the job.
A secure platform designed for government construction projects
Procore for Government, which achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) Moderate Authorization earlier this year, is designed to help federal agencies and contractors in the U.S. manage government construction projects through a secure, all-in-one platform.
Built with the strict security requirements for public-sector construction in mind, the platform aims to eliminate technical hiccups and adoption barriers associated with government projects while providing a unified system of record for public agencies, program managers, and contractors.
Procore for Government supports teams at every phase of a project, helping them meet government security and compliance requirements, reduce manual processes, and gain greater visibility across federal programs.
The platform centralizes essential project data in one place—from RFIs, change orders, and drawings to contracts, reports, inspections, and budgets—allowing contractors to manage sensitive government project information without building their own systems or relying on multiple tools.
“A lot of our current customers right now have federal teams [that] do federal work. But because Procom wasn’t FedRAMP-authorized, they would have to use a different solution,” said Brian Langhorst, Industry Partnerships Manager at Procore. “Now, we’re enabling our contractors, our current customers…to be able to take their best in-class software solutions and apply them. So it opens up an opportunity for our contractors to be more successful on jobs that they’re already bidding on.”
The platform also helps simplify compliance by automatically tracking approvals, project changes, financial updates, and other documentation, giving teams real-time access to the information they need to keep projects moving.
Procore AI brings automation and data insights to the jobsite
Procore is also expanding its AI capabilities through Datagrid, which it acquired earlier this year. The acquisition has accelerated the development of Procore AI, introducing a suite of smart features designed to help construction teams work more efficiently.
These AI agents can automate complex tasks, deliver data-backed insights, provide real-time project updates, and spot potential risks early. Contractors can use the tool to quickly review large volumes, generate RFIs, analyze documents, review submittals, and identify issues—such as budget discrepancies—before they become critical problems.
“Procore has been for 20 years on the cutting edge of the digital construction space and we’re consistently looking for the next great opportunity,” said Langhorst. “Datagrid is going to take us from where we are, and it’s going to accelerate us insanely fast.”
According to Langhorst, the new AI capabilities will help contractors shift from “smoke-detecting” to proactively addressing issues or challenges they may face, enabling teams to stay on schedule and resolve issues more quickly.
Overall, Procore’s expanded AI offerings aim to give contractors faster access to actionable insights while helping them maintain efficiency and quality across projects.
