Turner Construction breaks ground on $175 million Denver Broncos HQ expansion

Written By Alex Klocek

Turner Construction has begun work on the Denver Broncos’ new $175 million headquarters and training facility at the Centura Health Training Center in Englewood, Colorado. This new development is set to be 30% larger than the existing complex, encompassing over 320,000 square feet with a contemporary design. Once completed, it will be connected to the Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse and elevate the Broncos’ status as having one of the premier training facilities in the NFL.

The project includes two and a half levels, featuring modernized collaborative spaces and cutting-edge training amenities for players and staff.  Designed with a “player-first” mindset, the new headquarters will integrate all essential training spaces—weight room, indoor practice facility, and walkthrough areas—into the main building, providing a seamless player experience. The first floor is specifically designed to optimize player movement, from the locker room to meeting rooms and sports performance areas, with an additional 21,000 square feet of player space. Football operations will be housed on the second floor of the new facility, while the third floor will be dedicated to business operations.

Upon completion, more than 70 employees from Empower Field at Mile High will relocate to the new headquarters, centralizing the team’s operations under one roof. The Broncos’ President Damani Leech emphasized that the project aligns with the organization’s goals, saying, “This facility will set a new standard, not just in football, but in the sports industry overall.” Construction is expected to maintain the team’s operational activities, including hosting fans at training camps throughout the building process.

This expansion marks a significant investment by the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group, demonstrating their commitment to improving the team’s performance and the overall fan experience. Broncos Owner & CEO Greg Penner stated, “Our vision is to create a new home for the Denver Broncos that reflects our values of winning and teamwork with a modern Colorado design,”

Denver partnered with global design and architecture firm HOK and the interdisciplinary Rockwell Group to create the blueprint for the new facility, ensuring it meets the team’s advanced operational and performance needs.

The facility is expected to be completed by the 2026 NFL season. Once finished, the Broncos will have a unified, world-class hub that promotes player performance, supports team operations, and creates a more engaging experience for fans during training camp. This investment signals a long-term vision for the organization.
