Toronto’s Pinnacle SkyTower makes history

Written By Alexis Nicols

One project just raised the bar in major Canadian construction milestones. Pinnacle International has officially topped out Pinnacle SkyTower at 100 storeys at Pinnacle One Yonge in downtown Toronto, making it the first building in the country to reach that height.

Announced on November 24, 2025, the milestone puts Pinnacle SkyTower on track to reach 106 storeys and a final height of 351.85 metres when completed this year. Once finished, the tower will include 958 residential units, the new Le Meridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel, and more than 80,000 square feet of amenities. The building’s highest occupied floor will align with the CN Tower’s main observation level, placing it firmly among the city’s most recognizable structures.

Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the tower features a 12-sided, tapered form with an aerodynamic profile that blends waterfront influences with sharper urban geometry. The design supports expansive balconies up to the 88th floor and floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of Lake Ontario and the downtown skyline.

“We are pleased to celebrate Pinnacle SkyTower reaching 100 storeys. We have created a landmark, one that is making history not only for Toronto, but for all of Canada,” said Michael De Cotiis, President and CEO at Pinnacle International.

Pinnacle SkyTower anchors the broader 4.4-million-square-foot Pinnacle One Yonge master-planned development, which aims to transform this stretch of Toronto’s waterfront with residential, hotel, retail, and public space.
